Development that creates secure environments and opportunities for people to thrive

Culmen International strives to build stability and capacity for the most vulnerable and hardest-to-reach communities to survive and thrive. We work with governments and international organizations to mitigate the human consequences of violent conflict, environmental disaster, and socio-economic injustice. Culmen designs, delivers, and drives sustainable solutions. With offices in over 40 countries, Culmen is prepositioned for rapid response. We work across sectors, industries, and socio-political contexts, deploying top-quality experts drawn from our expansive reserves of world-class subject-matter experts, logisticians, linguists, and managers. Each team is purpose-built, configured according to the needs and goals of individual missions. Our country teams prioritize participatory, community-oriented approaches to development and humanitarian programs, engaging a cross-section of local people and institutions. Prioritizing community engagement in the earliest phases of the project life cycle is the surest way to sustain the results we achieve together.

Culmen performs rapid recruiting and mobilization of personnel with the right mix of expertise for a given mission, including social workers, educators, linguists, relief experts, international development personnel, logisticians, travel coordinators, operations specialists, former first responders, law enforcement, and service members with a background in disaster relief and refugee support. We believe that when the world is safer, the U.S. is more secure.
