U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)

  • Second Line of Defense (SLD) Program Advisory and Assistance Services - Under the SLD program, NNSA works collaboratively with foreign partners to equip border crossings, airports and seaports with radiation detection equipment and associated communication equipment. The SLD program provides training in the use of the systems for appropriate law enforcement officials and initial system sustainability support as the host government assumes operational responsibility for the equipment.  We are proud to lend our services to this mission.
The Culmen team continues to provide support to SLD and its efforts toward assisting partner nations in securing their borders. In 2011 Culmen is leading new radiation monitor procurement for the program. We are also conducting a new construction/telecom acceptance test in the Republic of Kenya.

  • The Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI) Program carries out its mission to reduce and protect vulnerable nuclear and radiological materials located at civilian sites worldwide. The Nuclear and Radiological Material Protection Program provides for the protection of at-risk WMD-usable nuclear and radiological materials worldwide from theft and sabotage until a more permanent threat reduction solution can be implemented.
